Living in Golf Communities

Golf courses provide residential spaces for people who want to enjoy the green spaces and other recreational facilities offered by them. Not just among golfers, golf communities are a popular choice for residence among non–golfers too especially the retired elite class.

Golf communities are always in demand and popular because of the fascinating amenities like swimming pools, clubs, restaurant, recreational zones, spas, etc. Due to the increasing demand of golf communities, it is not easy to find a home there. Homes in golf communities are seldom listed on MLS service.

According to some reports approximately 80 percent of golf community homes are sold by the staff in elite golf communities. This leaves a very little percentage of such homes being listed. According to the National Golf Foundation, approximately 3.7 million or 15 percent of all golfers are permanent residents of a golf community. Another 3 percent of all golfers own a residence on a golf course that they use as a vacation home or rent out as an investment. This number is on the rise.
